Royal & Derngate’s artist development programme Generate is committed to supporting the work and the development of artists. Since 2012 the programme has supported over 6000 artists with opportunities including rehearsal and performance space, mentorship, scratch opportunities, masterclasses, funding, networking, placements, ticket offers and special one off events and commissions.

Generate Partnerships
Royal & Derngate are delighted to partner with In Good Company, a professional creative and business development programme for theatre makers and companies in the Midlands, providing even further support for artists including mentorship, business support, resources and high-profile performance opportunities. Generate Networking
We host an annual networking and ticket offer linked to one of our Made In Northampton productions. A chance to meet in person and make valuable connections, to see the work at Royal & Derngate and question some of the cast and creatives post-show.
Our annual networking will take place on Wed 24 Sep 6pm. Join us for a chance to meet the team, talk about your work, the opportunities at Royal & Derngate, and mix with other local artists in this networking and social event at Lola’s Bar, Northampton.
The first 30 artists who book will also receive a complimentary ticket to Breaking The Code that evening. Please note that it is only one complimentary ticket per artist but should you wish to bring a guest, we ask you to email [email protected] and we can arrange a special ticket rate.
