Then Royal & Derngate Youth Theatre and Young Company awaits!
Come join a young ensemble in a professional theatre working with artists and industry experts across workshops, rehearsals, showcases, and full-scale productions that will allow you to build your confidence and imagination, express ideas, collaborate with like-minded creative young people, and develop performance skills in movement, voice, character, script analysis, writing, and devising.
For £130 for the first term, and £100 per term thereafter, you will:
• Learn theatre skills guided by professional directors and practitioners
• Develop your ideas and voice as a young performance artist
• Work on existing texts and devise new plays of your own
• Perform at the Royal & Derngate and at events in the wider community
• Take part in one-off masterclasses and workshops
• Have the opportunity to connect with the National Theatre of Great Britain
• Go on theatre trips
• Get a Royal & Derngate T-shirt
Bursaries are available upon request.
When, Where & Who For?
Youth Theatre
7 – 11 Years: Saturdays 10am – 11:30am
11 – 14 Years: Saturdays 12pm – 1:30pm
14 – 18 Years: Saturdays 2pm – 3:30pm
Sessions take place during term time
Young Company
16 – 21 Years: Wednesdays 6pm – 8pm
Sessions take place during term time, with some additional weekend and holiday intensives
